Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (PEI) – October 9, 2026 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Gulf Region, wishes to inform harvesters that the fourth halibut opening, originally scheduled for October 13 to October 16, 2026 has been delayed until 4:00 hrs., Tuesday, October 20 and will remain open until 16:00 hrs., Friday, October 23, 2026.
All other management measures for the fourth opening will remain unchanged.
A reminder to fishers that previously issued licence conditions have expired and to print off new licence conditions. New licence conditions will be available in fisher’s National Online Licensing System (NOLS) account by October 13, 2026.
